Update from Sadie's best friend

35 posts in this topic

Sadie wanted me to let you guys know what is going on. Her health is declining and she is getting a lot weaker and losing quite a bit of weight. Her Hospice doctor and nurses told her that she may only have a few days left before she will be moving to her permanent residence. But she is at peace with this because she is looking forward to seeing her relatives that went before her. As this will probably be her last post she wants to thank everyone for your thoughts, encouragment and support that you have shown her through these last few months.

Dear Darlene,

Please let Sadie know that we will be very sorry to see her go. She has been a delightful blessing for all of us and we have all cherished her love and friendship.

Will you please give her an extra "warm hug" just from me?

I really just joined the board and have only known of Sadie for a very short time. In that short time I have read Sadie's posts with great interest. They have always been so warm and supportive of everyone. Please convey to her that I sincerely appreciated her kindness and thoughtful manner with everyone. I thank her for her time and the love that she shared and hope that she is not in pain. She has shown a lot of courage in the face of very difficult circumstances and I hope she finds peace.

Please give Suzie a hug for me, too, Darlene. I just sent her a card yesterday. I'm from Kokomo, IN. I'm happy that soon she won't be suffering anymore, but it's so sad and I can't stop the tears. We've all been very blessed to know Suzie.

Hugs and tears,

This is so hard. Sadie you are so brave and I'm not. It hurts so much to think of you leaving us. You are such a kind and thoughtful person and will be missed so much. I just hate what this disease does and it's so unfair. The only consolation is that I have faith you will be in a better place looking down on us all and giving us strength when we need it and will be there for us in a much more special way. I will miss you my friend.......................

Warm and loving hugs to you,

Peggy

Darlene thank you for sending us this information. Please give Sadie all of our thoughts, and a few soft hand squeezes from all of us if the hugs would be too much for her.

Sadie, you are in my thoughts and I hope your days and hours with your family will be precious to them. As I am sure each hour is very precious to you. I hope Darlene or someone in your family is reading to you all of our heartfelt love and emotional support. We will miss your tender words of encouragement. Until we finally meet my dear friend. You were loved, you are loved, and you will forever be love. It has been wonderful being your friend even though we have never met. My love goes out to you my friend.

Strength and Warmth,

Sheryl
