Antibodies and disease activity

Recommended Posts

Hi there Sclero Family~

I just wanted to see if any of you have noticed more disease activity when your anti-SCL 70 antibodies were higher. Also, have you noticed that the antibodies fluctuate over the corse of a few years?

Thank you!

Warm hugs for the cold season.

Hello Erin,

It's so nice to see you back!

I never noticed any correlation with antibodies, myself. What I have noticed, though, is Sed Rate. I think I could tell you my sed rate on any given day, even without any blood tests. Same for my thyroid level, they could save lots by skipping the test and just taking my word for these things. The good part of this is that I know when I need to have certain tests done.

How about you, do your antibodies fluctuate?

Warm Hugs,

Hi Shelley,

It is great to hear from all of you again!

I wish that my Sed Rate was a good indicator for me as it is with you, but unfortunately it isn't. I recently had two sed rates done and both are normal, but I don't feel normal. I did have my scl test again after 2 years and it is back up.

I guess that I am just grabbing at straws, and looking for answers. I know that this disease takes it's own path and no two people are the same...I just hate the not knowing!

Thanks for your input Shelley.

Warm hugs for the cold season~
