Holiday Gifts for Sclerodermians

10 posts in this topic

:excl: We should make a gift list , everyone add items that we Sclerodermians can pass on to family & friends! Here's mine-

1. HAND WARMERS- case of 80 pairs!(bought direct from manufacturer wholesale they mailed my case discounted for medical reason.)

2. FLEECE THROW BLANKET for the car, kitchen chair, desk chair, patio chair, sofa.

3. HOT WAX ELECTRIC POT & extra wax refills- For comforting our hands & feet!

4. THICK FLEECE SLIPPERS (to the ankle)

5. ASK A SEWER- to make you a heavy quilted and fleece lined open ended envelope to slip your mouse & pad into to keep your hand warm computing! It really helps me.

6. HEATING PAD- that plugs into cigarete lighter in your car.

7. HEATING BLANKET- just to warm the chill out of the bed 1/2 hour before you get in- then shut off while you sleep!

Add your favorites and pass these ideas on to everyone we know!

Oooh, there's a few things I'd really like, but top of the list is one of those electric blankets that are sofa-throw sized. I had one a few years ago, but the dog ate it (or tried to and fortunately it wasn't plugged in at the time!) and I really missed it last winter.

Next might be one of those lotion-warmer thingies. And how about a heated towel rail? The list goes on. . .

How about a new electric toothbrush or a fuzzy steering wheel cover. Pokey

Every year I get at least pairs of wool socks. They're awesome!

Other ideas

  •
  • Full length fleece robe
  • small heater for your work desk
  • different colors of neck turtles (nothing keeps the chill off your neck better than this and you can wear it with any type of top)
a winter's supply of tea (or just make it a year's supply :VeryHappy: )
A certificate for as much cuddling as I want :D

Wishing all a warm winter,

I love that mousing muff idea- that is something that really bothers me.

But I would like to get a nose cozy.

I like that mouse muff/envelope/cozy idea, too. Think I will try to put one together and see how it works out. I have seen them online before, so maybe I will just give myself one for a treat.

Warm wishes,

Jefa

Hi All!

Sandra and Jefa, I also love the mouse and pad "cozy" concept...sounds PERFECT for those of us who enjoy our computer time. However, the idea of warm hands/feet makes it really more fun...don't you think?!

How 'bout a "cozy" for our feet, while at our 'puters, too?

enjoytheride, I would like a "nose warmer" too. Let's get our orders in!

Special Hugs,

Count me in on the maid...oh yeah and someone always on hand just to open things, pick things up, carry heavy things, help me dress...

Must go, cold feet!
