Foot padding

Recommended Posts

Just an update. I went to the podiatrist to get my nails cut. She had a nurse with her who was observing her for the day and I think because of that she forgot she was going to cut some thick skin from under my feet. I just kept my mouth shut and didn't remind her as I didn't want her to do it. So I have been soaking my feet and using a pumice stone and it seems to be helping.

I have painful soles, the specialist nurse at The Royal Free told me that scleroderma did indeed reduce thhe flesh on the soles and she recommended getting a referral from my G.P. to a Podiatrist who would make me inserts for my shoes.Hope this helps

I can't reach my feet to pumice. I have my podiatrist debride a corn on the ball of my foot every 6-8 weeks, not painful, extremely helpful, every 6-8 weeks. Its just scraping off a corn with a blade, not invasive. He has helped my with spongy latex insoles too. I can't get by without very spongy insoles/shoes.
