Calcinosis cutis

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I haven't been online recently. I lost one of my dearest friend and still going through grieving. I had surgery last September on my knee and removed most the calcinosis. Yet, now I'm having crucial pain on the same knee again.

I heard that there is a lazer treatment that help remove calcinosis cutis. Does anyone here know anything about? Please let me know I appreciate your input.

Much love,

Hi Alice,

That's a great question! As it happens, on our main sclero.org site, we have a section about Calcinosis Treatments.

Successful palliation and significant remission of cutaneous calcinosis in CREST syndrome with carbon dioxide laser. Treated digits healed over a 6-week period and led to a significant remission in symptoms. PubMed. Dermatol Surg. 2003 Sep;29(9):968-70.

Did that help you at all?

Warm Hugs,

The pain will go away soon, I promise, I had my knee done back in 2003 it didn't take long to heal. Do you have them any where else? I have some on both forearms I really should thinnk of getting them removed they bother me. I don't know anything about the laser sorry I can't help you there.
