Dr. Roy Smith is a member of the International Scleroderma Network's Scientific Committee, and he is also a translator for ISN: Polish Version and for the ISN's Voices of Scleroderma book series.
Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Cambridge, UK, with a degree in Natural Sciences. He has been working in the field of Medical Electronics.
He collaborates with the Department of Rheumatology, Royal Free Hospital, London, led by Prof. Carol Black in the area of physiological measurements such as thermography and laser Doppler flowmetry.
Internet as a Tool for Patient Support Groups to Provide Quality Information. AIM: To compare the inquiries received by the Scleroderma Society (SS), UK with those received by the International Scleroderma Network (ISN). Worldwide collaboration of medical professionals with patient organisations should lead to a better understanding of clinical needs and better support.
