I am seventy-two years old now and became ill with CREST syndrome when I was forty-six years old.
I fought this disease with every ounce of strength I had. I became a nurse when my children were older teens and my husband was a policeman.
Now, the calcinosis is so bad on my fingers, that I find ordinary chores harder and harder. While my rheumatologist tries to help, she said there is very little she can do and sometimes, I need pain medication.
I feel lost. This disease is hardly ever advertised as so little is known about it.
To those of you who suffer with it, you are not alone.
